My Favorite Things – Inspired by a famous work of art

Hi everyone! This week My Favorite Things decided to celebrate Inspiration in many forms. Today’s theme is about an "Inspirational work of art".

My choice was a famous Impressionist painting of Claude Monet called "San Giorgio Maggiore by Twilight" that he begun in 1908 during his only visit to Venice.

As a historian of art and archeologist, I have many favorite artists! I like Monet but many other painters too. But this painting inspired me to create this Clean &  Simple card:

I made a stencil using the MFT circle STAX Die-namics set that I sponged with inks. I then stamped the city and the sentiment with black hybrid ink from MFT. Both stamps are from the Birdie Brown set called You’re Super. At last, I added a tiny heart that I die cut from the Fluttering Hearts Die-namics.  It’s a perfect one-layer card!

Be sure to check the MFT blog for more work of art inspirations from my teamies!
Thank you so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day…
