MFT Creative Challenge – Gold Glitz

Hi everyone! It’s time for the September My Favorite Things Creative Challenge. Today, the Design Team is featuring shiny projects with gold accents.

Here is what I came up with:

For the first card, I die cut two leaves from the Wild Greenery Die-namics set that I heat embossed in sparkling gold embossing powder. Then I die cut a panel from MFT Steel Grey card stock with a Double Stitched Square frame. I glued the leaves to it and heat embossed the sentiment from the For the Boys set with the same powder. I attached the stitched panel to the top-fold card base and I added some gold sequins to finish off my card. In real life, it SPARKLES so much more than on the picture!

For the second card, I made a clean and simple graphic design using the chevron dies from Blueprints 7. This time, I used sparkling gold paper combined with Steel Grey and red cardstock. The "Happy Birthday" sentiment is from the new Soda Pop set. I stamped it with Steel Grey ink to the card base (so it matched perfectly with the Steel Grey cardstock). This could be a  masculine as well as a feminine card!

Be sure to check the MFT blog for more inspiration and projects from the Design Team in relation with this theme!

Einfach phantastisch diese Karten! Besonders gut gefällt mir die grafische Karte - wäre glatt ein Grund, mir die Chevron Dies auch zu kaufen ;-) Chevron geht immer !
