My Favorite Things – Color Challenge #43

Hi everyone! Welcome to the MFT Color Challenge #43! Here is my project for today:

The colors for Color Challenge 43 are Primitive White, Daffodil, Sour Apple and Berrylicious

I love this color combination. It feels like spring and it’s so fresh! I first wanted to create a scene with these colors but I then had the idea to use the beautiful Party Balloons set and my MFT dye inks (they are AWESOME!). I stamped three balloons in Daffodil, Sour Apple and Berrylicious dye ink onto Primitive White cardstock. I stamped the strings with Black Licorice dye ink. They are from the Party Balloons and Heart Balloons stamp sets. I used the camouflaging die cut technique for the "hello". At first, I die cut the "hello" from the Die-namics Hello There set. I put tape behind the die-cut opening. To add dimension, I die-cut the word 3 more times from Primitive White cardstock. I then glued all pieces together and put the colored one on top. I then inlaid the stacked “hello” to the card on the tape. The "birthday" sentiment is from the Get Down to Business set and I stamped it bellow the "hello". To finish off my card, I adhered my panel to a card base. The strip of patterned paper on the left is from the Dots & Stripes Neutral paper pack.

Head over to the MFT Challenge blog to check out what the rest of the design team has created with this color combination!

Simple and classic design and images makes for a great card for male or female.
What a happy card! Love the colors and love how you did the die cut. The black stripes and balloon strings set it off perfectly!
