MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #308

Hi everyone! Welcome to this week’s MFT Sketch Challenge! Here is what I came up with:

This sketch is super versatile! First, I decided to go for a colored image but I then changed my mind and went for a non-cute card using a sentiment as my focal point. I first created a top-folded card base from Smooth Withe cardstock. I then cut out a circular shape using the Circle STAX Die-namics that I blended with Distress inks to create a rich and colorful background for a tropical theme. I also spritzed water mixed with shimmer over it and I stamped some leaves from the Large Desert Bouquet set to give more texture and interest. I then adhered the shape to the card base and trimmed the right edge to fit the sketch. Next, I stamped the "Best wishes" from the All Occasion Sentiments on Smooth White cardstock and cut it out with scissors. I heat embossed the "Enjoy your day" from the Sweet Sloths set on Black Licorice Prestige cardstock with white embossing powder and cut it out too. I fixed the sentiments to the card with foam pads for more dimension. To complete my card, I added 3 sequins.

Here is the sketch #308 for this week’s challenge:

Gorgeous ink blending on your background, and I love how you hand cut the sentiment! Really beautiful take on the sketch, Francine!
