Penny Black Simplicity – Joy to the World

Hello everyone! I’m back with a card I made for Penny Black. This time, I decided to create a card using the wonderful slapstick Muse cling stamp (#40-472):

I went for a non-traditional Holiday / Christmas card with a graphic design. I created a top-folded card base from white cardstock and stamped the girl in black ink. I then stamped the same image on masking paper. I cut out the dress and used the negative space as a mask. I blended several inks over the opening to create a beautiful rainbow. I added some splatters with a paintbrush and clear shimmer mixed with water. I removed the mask and left it air-dry completely. I die cut the Joy to the World creative die (#51-263) from white cardstock and fixed it to the card base over the dress with foam pads for more dimension. I added clear shimmer to the sentiment and covered it with Glossy Accents for shine. I like the pop of colors and glitter in this black and white image.

WOW! Love this non-traditional holiday card, Francine...so clever! I love the color combo you chose for the masked dress, and how the sentiment pops on this card! Very cool idea!
