MFT January Release Countdown Day 1

Hi everyone! Today is the last day of the My Favorite Things January release countdown. This release is absolutely fabulous! The new products will officially be available on the MFT online store in a few hours!!! Yay!!!

The new products will officially be available on the MFT online store on January 10th at 9:00 pm EST (= Europe: January 11th at 3:00 am CET).

Today, I’m showcasing the newest Floral Fantasy Background

Most of the supplies I used for this project are linked in the link-up tool at the bottom of this post. I chose to go for red and gold and I must say that it looks amazing in real life (it was a bit hard to take a good picture from the shiny embossing). It gives the card an oriental style and it looks like fabric. I created a top-folded card base from Electric Red cardstock and inked the background with Versamark. I stamped the background to the card front and heat embossed it with gold embossing powder. I rounded the bottom corners. I die cut the heart from the Flop Card – Heart Die-namics set as well as the word "thanks" from the Thanks & Hello Die-namics set from the same Electric Red cardstock. I heat embossed the thanks with gold embossing powder. To finish off my card, I fixed the heart and the thanks with foam pads for more dimension. This background is super versatile.

Your card is stunning! Using the Fantasy Floral stamp to emboss was a clever idea, and it's the second time someone has made the stamp more appealing to me by showing a beautiful use that doesn't require coloring the image (time consuming). Thanks for the idea :)

I have become a huge admirer of your designs...a mostly silent admirer. Your colouring skills totally amaze me (I am aware this card has not been coloured! :D) and your design work is fabulous! THIS card is 'simply' BEAUTIFUL!!! I just had to come forward and say how much I enjoy and admire your work!
