Penny Black Simplicity – Miss you

Hello everyone! I’m back with a project I made for Penny Black. This time, I decided to create a card using scenic elements from several sets.

I first created the background using a paint brush and my Winsor & Newton watercolor palette. I made the sky, left it dry and then painted the plain. I splattered white paint mixed with water over the panel. Once it was dry, I matted the scene on a top-folded cream card base. Next, I stamped the branch from the 30-300 Happy Notes set and the bird from the 30- 320 Spread Cheer set in black ink. I also stamped the "miss you" sentiment from the 30-283 Snippets set in black. To finish off my card, I die cut the fox from the 51-171 Natures Beauty creative die set and glued it to the panel. I really love this card because it looks peaceful and mysterious at the same time.
