"January" Winter Card

Today, I’m linking up to the online card class Stenciled that just started. I’ll show you my homework project with inking and sponging with stencils.

In the first place, I "created" a stencil by die-cutting the "Full Card Sunshine Die" from Simon Says Stamp. Then, I sponged Evergreen Bough Distress ink over the stencil. After removing the stencil, I added a few embellishments on the panel: some die-cuts (a circle punched from white vellum, a Simon Says Stamp snowflake, the French word "January" that I heat embossed with Liquid Platinium embossing powder from Ranger), white thread and rhinestones. Here is the finished card:
