1001 CARTES ON AIR – Iridescent watercolor background

Hi! Today, I’m back with a new card and video tutorial featuring the Create A Smile stamp sets called Botanical Love and Ausflippen (German sentiment set).

In this video, I want to share another way to create a self-made background using silver embossing powder instead of the black or white we usually choose. I also used Distress inks combined with iridescent watercolors to create a metallic and shiny look. Here is my card:

Sadly, the pictures don’t do justice to the card! In real life, the background is vibrant and shiny!

You can see how I did my card in the video below!

***SUPPLIES I USED***

Stamps: Botanical Love & Ausflippen (Create A Smile)
Inks & Co.: Peacock Feathers Distress Ink (Ranger), Finetec MICA Watercolor Iridescent Paint, Versamark
Paper: watercolor paper, black and white cardstock
Dies: Stitched Rectangles (Lil’Inker Designs)
Various: silver embossing powder, 3D foam pads, tape runner, heat gun, paint brushes, etc.

Don’t forget that you can share your Create A Smile creations with us! Upload them on the Create A Smile blog, right in the sidebar.

I hope you had fun with this tutorial!
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day…

Francine, it's stunning!!! I just received the botanical set in the mail, I was waiting months to get it. I'm so going to try this technique, though I'm sure mine won't come as beautiful as yours. Thanks for the inspiration.
