It’s time
for the "Same but different" May challenge.
Here is a
peek at the stamp set we used this month – "Hand Lettered Encouragement" from
Simon Says Stamp:
And this is
my take on this set:
My first
idea was to make a splatter with watercolors. But I changed my mind because it would
have been too "easy" and predictable! LOL! So I die cut a heart and used the negative shape left by the die cut as
a mask. I got inspired by the new Online Card Class: it's all about masking (and self-made masks with masking paper). I then sponged some stripes
with Simon Says Stamp dye inks onto a stitched panel (Lil’Inker Designs) to create a rainbow into the heart. I stamped
the sentiment onto white cardstock, cut it out and fixed it with 3D foam pads
to the background for more dimension. To finish off the card, I added a black
card base and some sequins.
Thanks for stopping by!
