MFT July Release Countdown Day 2

Hi everyone! Today is the fourth day of the My Favorite Things July release countdown. This release is packed with amazing new products! Isn’t it?

The new products will officially be available on the MFT online store on July 7th at 10pm EST (= Europe: July 8th at 4:00 CET).

I’ve made 2 cards showcasing the newest Birthday Wishes & Balloons stamp set:

For the first project, I made a one-layer card and I stamped the balloons from the Birthday Wishes & Balloons to the background using the fantastic MFT dye inks. The colors are so pretty! I chose following colors: Bubblegum and Razzle Berry (I stamped the darker color on top of the lighter), Orange Fizz, Daffodil, Limelight, Blu Raspberry, Lush Lagoon, Blue Breeze (that I stamped 3 times, one on top of the other) and Grape Jelly. Then I stamped the strings with Steel Grey ink. Finally, I heat embossed the sentiment from the Piece of Cake stamp set on black cardstock and I fixed it to the background with 3D foam pads.

For the second card, I got inspired by a technique I saw in a YouTube video shared by Kristina Werner a few months ago (you can watch her video tutorial HERE). I love the way she used this masking technique so I decided to give it a try. I used the big balloon shape from the newest Blueprint 26 Die-namics set to outline the border. I made the background using MFT dye inks: Red Hot, Banana Split and Lush Lagoon! It worked perfectly! Finally, I stamped a sentiment from the newest Birthday Wishes & Balloons set on top of the balloon with MFT black dye ink

Love them both but the second one is the cutest. I love how you did the coloring on the balloon, and a great way to do it as well
