MFT Summer School 2 – Primary Colors

Hi everyone and welcome to the MFT Summer School Session 2!

The second session of My Favorite Things Summer School started Monday. Each day this week, MFT will be teaching free mini-classes. While session 1 focused on design principles, session 2 will give you the tools you need to confidently create with color. Head over to the MFT blog to read more and watch the video tutorials. There are also fantastic prizes to win!

Today’s lesson is about the PRIMARY COLORS: red, yellow and blue (in any saturation)! I have made two cards to give some examples:

For the first card, I made a little scene using the new Things with Wings stamp set combined with the Die-namics Cloud Cover-Up. The tiny red hearts are the perfect touch to highlight both other colors.

For the second card, I used a different saturation of the red and blue. I made a simple design but the color strips give more interest to the project. The word "happy" is a die-cut from the Happy Duo set.

And this is a card I shared for the preview days using also the primary colors (more details about this card HERE).

Be sure to check the MFT blog for more inspiration and projects from the Design Team!
