MFT Creative Challenge – Gold Glitz
Hi everyone! It’s
time for the September My Favorite Things Creative Challenge. Today, the Design Team is featuring shiny projects
with gold accents.
Here is what I
came up with:
For the first card, I die
cut two leaves from the Wild Greenery
Die-namics set that I heat embossed in sparkling gold embossing powder.
Then I die cut a panel from MFT Steel
Grey card stock with a Double
Stitched Square frame. I glued the leaves to it and heat embossed the sentiment
from the For the Boys set with the
same powder. I attached the stitched panel to the top-fold card base and I added
some gold sequins to finish off my
card. In real life, it SPARKLES so much more than on the picture!
For the second card, I made a clean and simple graphic design using the chevron dies from Blueprints 7. This time, I used sparkling gold paper combined with Steel Grey and red cardstock. The "Happy Birthday" sentiment is from the new Soda Pop set. I stamped it with Steel Grey ink to the card base (so it matched perfectly with the Steel Grey cardstock). This could be a masculine as well as a feminine card!

this theme!
