Task for Two Tuesday – May Freebie Stamps

Hello everyone! It’s time for a new Task for Two Tuesday Challenge and new free digital stamps. I’m SO honored to be this month’s guest designer.

Birka and Wiebke, two friends from Germany, create each month free digital stamps. If you are new to Task for Two Tuesday, you’ll find their freebies on the TFTT’s blog, on Birka’s blog and on Wiebke’s blog!!! There are cute but also funny images!!! Don't miss them!

This month Birka (from Mit Herz und Schere) made some fun stamps showcasing a dancing ballerina cat. There are also two umbrellas and theater drapes / stage curtains (in case you want to create a scene) as well as matching sentiments. All these images are free for you to download! YAY! But if you use them, please don’t forget to link to their blog to give credit to the designers.

Here is my project for today:

There are three ballerina cat freebies but this is my favorite! I immediately knew that I wanted to use this image with rainbow colors (ha ha, yes again). I first printed out a panel with the "Singing in the rain" sentiment. To create the colorful background, I sponged my panel with Distress inks. I then flicked water on it and once it was dry, I added some tiny transparent beads. They look like raindrops. Next, I colored the cat and the umbrella with Copic markers and pencils and fussy cut them with sharp scissors. I fixed them to the background with foam pads for more dimension. I added a strip of patterned paper on the left edge for more interest.
