MFT Camp Create | Session 2 | Day 5

Hi everyone! Welcome to day 5 of the second session of MFT Camp Create! We are so excited to share five crafts with you this week! There are also wonderful prizes to win!!! Yay! I hope you’ll join in and share your creations on the MFT blog.

Today’s lesson is about creating a background using (smaller) stamps! I made this card for you:

I had so much fun going through my stamps to fin smaller stamps for my card. I chose stamps from several sets: All Heart, Cheeky Monkey, Class Act, Get Down to Business, Hog Heaven, I Knead You, Lucky Dog, Polynesian Paradise, Recipe for Happiness, Somebunny and You Gnome Me! I stamped the images with Black Licorice hybrid ink onto kraft paper and I colored the images with pencils (Polychromos, Prismacolor Premier and Luminance). I outlined the stamps with a white gel pen to make them stand out against the kraft paper. I die cut the panel with Blueprints 29 and glued it on a top-folded card base made with Smooth White cardstock. I heat embossed the sentiment from the Birdie Brown Recipe for Happiness onto Black Licorice cardstock with white embossing powder and I fixed it to the panel with foam pad for more dimension.
