My Favorite Things – July Release Replay

Hi everyone! It’s time for the July My Favorite Things release replay! Today, the MFT design team is taking a fresh look at the most recent release.

My project is a card featuring the newest Bearly Special Birthday set as well as the Big Birthday Balloons Die-namics: 

I colored the cute Birdie Brown bear with Copic markers and cut him out with scissors. I replaced the smaller balloon that was above the bear with another one. To create the big balloon I used the Big Birthday Balloons Die-namics. I first die cut the balloon from cardstock and used the negative space as a mask. I sponged it with yellow and green Distress inks and drew the outlines with a black pen. I then cut it out with scissors and fixed it to the bear image. For the background scene, I created a mask with Post-it tape and I sponged the panel with Limelight dye ink from MFT and Tumbled Glass Distress ink. I grounded the card with patterned paper from the Dots & Stripes Fresh paper pack. The "Make a Wish" sentiment is from the newest Celebrate with Cake stamp set.
