My Favorite Things – September Card Kit Preview Day 1

Hi everyone! It’s time for the September My Favorite Things card kit preview! Here is what I came up with:

No traditional winter card this time! LOL I used what I found in the kit but I created a clean and simple card with the plaid technique! I first created a cad base from white cardstock (from the kit). I masked the background and sponged it with all inks from the kit (Blue Breeze, Cornflower, Tropical Teal, Sour Apple) to create a plaid pattern. I cut out the Greetings sentiment from Silver Sparkle paper. I also cut a strip of Tropical Teal cardstock with my trimmer. I fixed the strip with glue to the background, as well as the sentiment. To finish off my card, I cut the white corner with a trimmer to get a non-traditional design.

The Snowflake Sparkle card kit will be available on September 20 at 10 pm EST (= Europe: September 21 at 4:00 CET) in the MFT boutique.

Be sure to check the MFT blog for a full list of kit contents and more inspiration from the rest of the Design Team!

Francine, although it's a non-traditional Winter card, it is a beautiful plaid! Gorgeous even! And, who doesn't love a glittered cardstock sentiment?

I love this card, Francine! It is so different. I love not only the beautiful plaid you made, but the sentiment with the strip of color under it and the final clip of the corner which really makes the card stand out. Thanks for sharing.
