My Favorite Things – Rainbow Bird Shaker Card

Hi everyone! Welcome to this month’s Creative Construction with Blueprints!

This time the DT has been exploring different ways of incorporating Blueprints into shaker cards. Here is what I came up with:

I chose a die from Blueprints 3 that I used as a window. I die cut the opening from a piece of patterned paper I found in the Itsy Bitsy Polka Dots paper pack. I then created a scene featuring the Birds of Paradise set. I colored the bird with Copic markers in rainbow colors. The sentiment is from I’m Tweet on You set. The handing leaves are from the Leafy Greenery and Wild Greenery Die-namics. I die cut them from Sour Apple cardstock. The grass was sponged with Sour Apple, Field Day and Jellybean Green dye ink from MFT. The sky was sponged with Distress ink. I used the Stitched Cloud Edge die-cuts as a mask. I chose sequins to fill my shaker card. They add a lot of color and fun to the design.

Head over to the MFT blog to check out what the rest of the design team has created!
