Penny Black | Bliss 2017 Collection | Spotlight 2
Hello everyone! This month, I’m back
with more cards for Penny Black
featuring stamps and dies from their newest BLISS 2017
catalog. The word dies in this collection are FA-BU-LOUS!!!
Here is my second spotlight and I’m
showcasing the 51-338 Birthday
creative die:
I went for a clean and simple design
using vibrant shades. I chose a white-yellow-blue color combination. I first
sponged yellow Distress ink in the center of a top-folded card base. I then
stamped the dog and the bees from the newest 30-414 Time to celebrate stamp set with black hybrid ink. I colored them with
Copic markers and cut them out with scissors. Next, I die cut the 51-338 Birthday
creative die from white cardstock. I lightly sponged the bottom of the die-cut
with blue Distress ink and a blending tool. I then masked the "Birthday" word
with Post-it tape and lightly sponged the bottom of the "Happy" in the same
way. To finish off my card, I adhered all elements to the card front using foam
pads for more dimension. Check the bees in the stamp set and the word die:
They hold a gift but I cut it off
and put the bees on each side of the word "Happy". Now it looks like they hold
a Happy Birthday banner! So cute! These little characters are so versatile and
that’s what I like so much in the Penny Black sets.

Have a wonderful
day and see you later this week for more Penny Black spotlights…
