MFT April Release Countdown Day 1
Hi everyone!
Today is the last day of the My Favorite Things April release
countdown. This release is absolutely fabulous! The new products will
officially be available on the MFT online store in a few hours!!! Yay!!!
The new products
will officially be available on the MFT online store on April 4th at 9:00 pm EST (= Europe: April 5th at 3:00 am CET).
Today, I’m
showcasing the newest Beautiful Butterflies stamp and die sets:
Most of the
supplies I used for this project are linked in the link-up tool at the bottom of this post. I created the
background with the You Give Me
Butterflies set. I stamped the
"Sending Best Wishes Your Way" several times in Grout Gray dye ink to the panel. I then stamped the
sentiment in black ink at the bottom of the card. I adhered the panel to a
top-folded card base. The strips on each side are from the Dots & Stripes Neutral paper pack. I die cut the butterflies from
watercolor paper using the coordinating dies. I then inked up the butterfly outline stamp using several Distress inks, spritzed the stamp with water using
a Mini Mister and stamped the butterfly to the
die-cut. I went over the stamped outlines with a wet paintbrush, and I also added some ink with
the brush to get some areas more vibrant. Once I made both butterflies and
once they were dry, I adhered them to the background with foam pads for more dimension. To finish off my
card, I added Wink of Stella
clear shimmer to the
butterflies.
