Hi everyone!
Today is the second day of the My Favorite Things May release
countdown. This release is packed with amazing new products and I hope you’ll
have fun with our preview projects!
The new products
will officially be available on the MFT online store on May 2nd at 9:00 pm EST (= Europe: May 3rd at 3:00 am CET).
Most of the
supplies I used for this project are linked in the link-up tool at the bottom of this post. I decided to use
the mermaid in a different way. Now she looks like a girl swimming and relaxing
at the sea. I did a self-made Polaroid
frame using the Die-namics Square STAX and a trimmer. The waves were die
cut with the Ocean Waves dies and blended with Distress inks using a blending tool. The patterned paper in the
background is from the Dots & Stripes
Sorbet paper pack. The sentiment
and the cocktail are from the previously released Birdie Brown Penguins in Paradise stamp set. To add more interest, I
added Stickles to the cocktail, the bikini and the
star in the hair.
For today’s full
product reveal, links to other fabulous projects from the MFT design team and AWESOME GIVEAWAYS, be sure to check out
the MFT blog!

Thanks so much
for stopping by and see you tomorrow for more countdown fun!

Love your sponging Francine. I love the warm sun behind her and how you have her popping up between the waves. Absolutely brilliant.

Love your cute card!
Francine, what a great idea to create waves that show the mermaid partly submerged and coming out of the water. Thanks for sharing this fresh take on the mermaid figure.
