Penny Black | Celebrate 2017 Collection | Spotlight 3

Hello everyone! This week, I’m back with more cards for Penny Black featuring stamps and dies from their newest CELEBRATE 2017 catalog. This release has a lot of cool images and new sentiment sets!    

Here is my third card for this spotlight week. Today, I’m showcasing the 30-422 Happy Times stamp set:

I went for a clean and simple design with a main focal point on the right! I stamped the image in black ink, colored it with Copic markers and cut it out with scissors. Next, I created a top-folded card base and blended some light blue ink on the right side over the front panel. I then adhered the cool skateboarding cat with foam pads. I placed the image off-center for more interest and a special effect. I trimmed the excess that extended over the sides of the card. The sentiment is from the 30-423 Banner Sentiments set. I stamped it in black ink and cut around it with scissors to create a banner. I adhered the banner with foam pads to the background and added the hemp cord. It looks like the funny cat rides outside the card!
