Penny Black Simplicity – Bye bye Penny Black Simplicity! Hello new release features!

Hello everyone! One year ago, I joined the Penny Black Simplicity design team. Today is my last Simplicity post because I decided to step down after my term. I had a FANTASTIC year in this team of talented ladies! But… I don’t really leave the Penny Black family! LOL! From now on (and as I already did the past three months), I’ll share a few cards each month featuring the newest release collection! YAY! Thanks SO much for this fabulous opportunity! I’m thrilled and excited to play with the new stuff!

For my last Simplicity project, I decided to feature the 40-476 Energized stamp and the 51-340 Dream Big creative die set. Here is what I came up with:

This die is so versatile. You can use it as a die-cut onto a bold background as I did last month (check the card HERE) or you can play with the camouflage die cutting technique as I did for this card. I first stamped the sun (40-476 Energized stamp) to the panel with black ink. Next, I masked the rays and blended some inks in the center. I die cut the 51-340 Dream Big die from the sponged panel, then put tape on the back, inlaid a white foam die-cut into the space before placing the original die-cut on top.

This is the 51-340 Dream Big creative die I used:

Thanks for visiting today and see you soon with more Penny Black projects!
