MFT December Release Countdown Day 5

 Hi everyone! Today is the first day of the My Favorite Things December release countdown. This release is packed with amazing new products! You’ll love them!

The new products will officially be available on the MFT online store on December 5th at 9:00 pm EST (= Europe: December 6th at 3:00 am CET).

Today, I’m showcasing the newest Town Bear set: 

Most of the supplies I used for this project are linked at the bottom of this post. I tried to add movement by stamping the image several times in lighter shades. I first wanted to use black ink and go for second and third generation stamping (what I already did in the past and it work well for this technique too) but then decided to use grey shades (Gravel Gray, Cement Gray, Grout Gray) and it worked so well. I stamped the first image (on the left) in black ink, masked it, then stamped the second image in dark grey, masked it, then stamped the third image in medium grey, masked it, and so on. For the last image, I used second generation stamping. Next, I colored the images lighter and lighter. I finally decided to add more dimension by stamping the first image (the black one) separately, colored it, cut it and fixed it on top with foam pads. The sentiment "zooooming by" was die cut from the Bottlecap Letters and colored with Copic markers. Inside, I added the second part of the sentiment "to say hi".
