MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #381

Hi everyone! Welcome to this week’s MFT Sketch Challenge! Here is what I came up with:

Most of the supplies I used for this project are linked in the link-up tool at the bottom of this post. This card looks clean and simple and it’s clean but it really took time to create it. I first had to do a lot test stamping for the wreath before I found the matching leaves and flowers for a great effect and then a lot of masking lol. But I like the result! To create the wreath, I drew (lightly with a pencil) a circle using the Circle STAX Die-namics (Set 1). I then stamped leaves from the Harvest Buddies stamp set and flowers from the A Tweet Hello stamp set around the circle using Black Licorice hybrid ink. Next, I erased the circle, colored the wreath and cut around and inside using scissors. The cute bird, as well as the sentiment, are from the A Tweet Hello set too. I created a top-folded card base using white cardstock and blended blue Distress ink using a blending tool. I adhered the wreath, the bird and the label to the cardstock using foam pads for more dimension. To finish off my card, I added Dandelion Yellow Nuvo Drops to all flowers and over the card base as shown.

Here is the sketch #381 for this week’s challenge:

Wow!!!! This is gorgeous! Ever since an auto accident in December I am SO drawn to the Clean and Simple look. I know just what you mean about a card looking simple but it takes a LOT of time to get that simple look. I am in awe of how you created this wreath. I really don't enjoy masking so you totally have my respect!!! Especially since these are little things to mask!! Gorgeous card!
