My Favorite Things June Release | Day 2

Hi everyone! Today is the fourth day of the My Favorite Things June release countdown. This release is packed with amazing new products! Isn’t it? The new products will officially be available on the MFT online store on June 5th at 9:00 pm EST (= Europe: June 6th at 3:00 am CET).

Today, I’m showcasing the newest Fireworks set:

Most of the supplies I used for this project are linked at the bottom of this post. I first heat embossed the fireworks using Versamark ink and white embossing powder. Next, I sponged various Distress inks over the fireworks. I then sponged the edges of the panel white black and blue Distress inks. As the panel is still a bit wet after blending, I left it dry and heat embossed the sentiment from the You Wow Me stamp set using white embossing powder. I die cut the WOW word from Silver Sparkle cardstock and adhered it to the background with foam adhesive for more dimension. To finish off my card, I attached the panel to a top-folded black card base. I really like how the fireworks pop against the dark background.

Your ink blending is amazing, Francine! I love how you highlighted the fireworks and your color palette is just beautiful! Great idea to use sparkly cardstock for your die cut sentiment, too...such a striking card!
