Spellbinders Collaboration | Birth Card

Hi everyone! I’m thrilled to join Spellbinders for a new collaboration this month! I’ve made two cards using products from their newest collection and today, I want to share the first one!

For today’s project, I used the New Arrival stamp and coordinating dies set! It’s absolutely perfect for a birth card for a sweet little girl or a cute boy!

I went for a colorful card. Why not? Baby cards often show soft and pastel colors. But I like the result. I first cut a white panel and created the background sky. I did a self-made stencil by drawing and cutting some puffy clouds in scrap paper with scissors. I then sponged Distress inks over the stencil onto the white panel using blending tools. I colored stamped the sentiment using black Archival ink using the Mini Misti stamping tool. I created a top-folded card base, fixed two strips of patterned paper and adhered the cloudy panel to the card front as shown. I stamped the stork with the baby bundle, colored the image and cut it with scissors (but you can use the coordinating dies that come with the set). I adhered the image to the clouds using foam pads for more dimension. To finish off my card, I added a few enamel dots. It looks very playful! Do you like it?

Here is the set I used:

Stay tuned for my second card!

Je suis d'accord, de belles couleurs vives sont absolument parfaites pour une magnifique carte de naissance ! Je trouve cette cigogne adorable avec sa casquette de "facteur". Bravo !
