My Favorite Things August Release | Day 5

Hi everyone! Today is the first day of the My Favorite Things August release countdown. This release is packed with amazing new products! You’ll love them!

The new products will officially be available on the MFT online store on August 7th at 9:00 pm EST (= Europe: August 8th at 3:00 am CET).

Today, I’m showcasing the newest Friendship Rocks stamp set:

Most of the supplies I used for this project are linked at the bottom of this post. I used the In the Spotlight stencil to create this red background. I sponged it with various red Distress ink shades as well as black using blending tools. Once it was dry, I added tiny white dots with a white gel pen and heat embossed the sentiment using Versamark ink and white embossing powder. I stamped the image in black ink, colored the girl and cut her with scissors. I adhered the blended background to a top-folded black card base with adhesive tape and the singer to the card front using foam pads for more dimension. To finish off the card, I added Wink of Stella clear glitter to the hair, the dress and the shoes.
