Mama Elephant | 6th Anniversary Stampede | Day 1

I’m so happy to join this fabulous event and celebrate this anniversary as a guest! Happy Birthday Mama Elephant and thanks for having me in the lineup! For this celebration, I’ve created two cards using the newest Santa’s Sleigh stamp set. Here is what I came up with:

For the first card, I created a night sky scene with the sleigh and the reindeer that I stamped, colored and cut out with scissors (but there are coordinating dies for this stamp set too). The small envelope falling from Santa’s gift bag is from the Incoming Mail stamp set. I die cut a stitched panel from white cardstock using the All Prettied Up creative cuts. Next, I die cut a circle from scrap paper that I used as a mask. I fixed the circle die-cut to the stitched panel with removable tape and sponged the background with Distress inks. I then splattered tiny white splatters over it. Once it was dry, I removed the circle mask and glued the stitched panel to the front of a white top-folded card base. I stamped the sentiment onto white labels, drew three sparkly stars and adhered two red enamel dots to add more interest.   

For the second card, I used the Santa’s Sleigh stamp set (Santa, sign and sentiment) again but mixed it with a lot of formerly released stamp sets. The stairs are from the Meowy Woofmas set. The gifts are from the Whimsical Winter and the Alpine Carolers sets. The envelope from the Incoming Mail set. The super sweet tiny bird is from the Reindeer Games set. I did the background using Distress Oxide inks. I colored some gifts with Wink of Stella clear glitter.
