MFT Countdown Kickoff | 5 Days Until the New October Release is Available

It’s time for the My Favorite Things October release countdown! Only 5 days until the release is available. During the countdown, the MFT Design Team is sharing lots of projects featuring all of the new products. The new release will officially be available on October 8th at 10:00 am EST (= Europe: October 8th at 4:00 pm CET).

Today, I’m showcasing the newest Christmas sELFies stamp set from Birdie Brown:

Most of the supplies I used for this project are linked at the bottom of this post. I created a colorful background using Distress Oxide inks. I then splattered water over the cardstock and left it dry. Next, I secured the Peace, Love and Joy stencil over the panel and sponged clear Versamark ink over it. I removed the stencil and left it dry again. Versamark ink dries clear and doesn’t stick but it reacts (a bit like water) with Distress and Distress Oxide inks. I cut the panel using the Inside & Out Stitched Square STAX Die-namics and glued it to the front of a top-folded card base. I stamped and colored the funny elf. I cut it with scissors and adhered it with foam pads to the card front as shown. The super fun Christmas sentiment is from the Sassy Pants Holidays Too stamp set. I added four self-drawn pieces of "masking tape" so that it looks like the elf is sticking the sentiment to the wall.
