2 Days Until MFT’s New November Release

Two more days until the new My Favorite Things November release is available. During the countdown, the MFT Design Team is sharing lots of projects featuring all of the new products. The new release will officially be available on November 5th at 10:00 am EST (= Europe: November 5th at 4:00 pm CET).

Today, I’m showcasing the newest Giraffes on Ice stamp set:

Most of the supplies I used for this project are linked at the bottom of this post. I first stamped the giraffe in Black licorice hybrid ink. I then created a mirror image below using the Mirror Image stamp so that it looks like a reflection on ice. I stamped the skate marks on the ice using Blue Breeze dye ink. I colored both images (the reflected one a bit lighter). I masked the giraffe using Masking Paper and sponged the sky using Distress inks and blending tools. I then created the ice using the same blending process, but I only added a light layer of ink. To finish off the card, I fixed the panel to a top-folded card base made with After Midnight cardstock. I heat embossed the sentiment using white embossing powder and added tiny yellow stars that I die cut from the Tag Builder Blueprints 6 die set. Using the mirror stamping technique is not a big thing! It looks harder than it is and the result is so sweet!
