MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #493

Hi everyone! Welcome to this week’s MFT Sketch Challenge! Here is what I came up with:

Most of the supplies I used for this project are linked in the link-up tool at the bottom of this post. I decided to create a scene, featuring small images from several stamp sets. The sweet boy is from the Magical Friends set and the little cottage from the Up in the Air set, both illustrated by Birdie Brown. The trees are from the Sky High stamp set illustrated by Stacey Yacula. The sentiment is from the Purrfect Friends stamp set. I started by drawing the grassy hills with a pencil using the Drifts & Gills stencil as a guide. I then colored the grassy fields with Copic markers. I blended some edges with green Distress ink. I created the sky using the Mini Cloud Edges stencil, this time with Distress Oxide ink. I then stamped the house and the trees in Cement Gray hybrid ink and colored the images. I stamped the boy to a piece of white cardstock in black ink, colored him and fussy cut him with scissors. I adhered him to the scene with foam pads to add more dimension.

Here is the sketch #493 for this week’s challenge:

You are amazing, Francine! This is such a darling scene...you did a great job pairing all these stamp sets and I love your hand-drawn grass...it looks so soft :) Loving those cute curly trees and fluffy clouds, too!
